Shepseskaf (with a short "e" sound) and his lover Neferimim (with a short "e" sound, like Nefertiti): A young Egyptian man who lived during the reign of King Pepi I around 2280 BC (approximately 4300 years ago), led a revolution and overthrew the monarchy. Egypt then entered a new phase in its history with the rise to power of a group of ignorant and unsophisticated individuals who understood nothing of politics, economics, or governance. They ruled by trial and error, which led to a brain drain and significantly impacted the Egyptian system, which had existed for nearly 5000 years prior to this time, ending around 500 BC with the fall of the last Egyptian kingdom after its conquest by the Persians in 525 BC.
