By reading this book, one embarks on a literary journey to acquire knowledge of countries, cultures, and people. Using the premise of a bucket list, my quest transforms the search for a set of wishes into a structured pursuit of meaningful experiences, grounded in purpose and clarity. The book explores how defining what truly matters turns travel into a deliberate act of living, rather than a casual escape. Travel becomes a meaningful lens for interpreting global dynamics, from cultural differences to complex geopolitical tensions. The book illustrates that understanding the world comes from actively moving through it and thoughtfully reflecting on the experiences encountered along the way. I'd like to remind people that a bucket list is really a life list; one should actively be pursuing growth as an intellectual traveler throughout their whole life and not just at the point before one is ready to "kick the bucket".
Volume II describes previous travel for pleasure and career to include the Caribbean Islands, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Peru, Egypt, Israel, Greece, Montenegro, Puerto Rico, United Kingdom, Japan, Panama, Haiti, Australia, Solomon Islands, France, Romania, and deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. The final section then entwines information from Volume I and II with basic principles from international relations. With 102,995 airline miles flown and 231 hours with my derriere parked in an airplane seat, it has been an aggressive travel year, but also an incredibly memorable one.
