Rose Powers, founder of StreetLight Community Outreach Ministries, has dedicated 30 years to serving individuals experiencing poverty and homelessness in Prince William County and Northern Virginia. As Compassion Ministry Pastor at Vineyard Christian Fellowship, she launched impactful programs for vulnerable communities. In 2004, she and her late husband, Ken, established StreetLight, where she served as Executive Director before transitioning to its board upon retirement. Rose expanded the county's Hypothermia Shelter into a year-round shelter and created a comprehensive supportive housing program integrating wraparound services with health care from a registered nurse and licensed physician, setting a new standard for holistic care.
