Zusammenfassung

Crossing the Red Sea was the easy part.

Learning to live together as a community?
That's where the real adventure began!

The official companion piece to season 1 of the hit TV series The Promised Land, this six-session Bible study takes you on a fun, faith-filled journey through the book of Exodus-one laugh-out-loud episode at a time. Rooted in Scripture but refreshingly relatable, the study follows Moses and the Israelites as they stumble, grumble, bicker, and bond their way through the wilderness (and occasionally wonder why God didn't just give them a map).

An engaging blend of thoughtful teaching and discussion questions, you'll wander the wilderness with these biblical heroes and learn about:

  • the challenges-and value-of being part of a community
  • the importance of grace, humility, and forgiveness
  • what it really means to be faithful, both to God and to others

Perfect for individuals or small groups, this study is designed to take you deeper into Scripture while giving you plenty to think, laugh, and talk about along the way.

Bethany Johns is a producer on The Promised Land and serves as vice president of marketing and partnerships for Milk & Honey Studios. Passionate about connecting meaningful stories with the audiences who need them most, she has played a key role in developing the audience engagement efforts surrounding The Promised Land. Bethany is committed to using storytelling as a tool to inspire, encourage, and create lasting impact.

An Ohio native, Bethany now lives in the Nashville area with her husband, Richie, and their two Pembroke Welsh Corgis, Esther and Melchizedek.

Richie Johns is the CEO of Milk & Honey Studios and the lead producer of The Promised Land, a comedy series that offers a fresh and humorous take on the story of Moses and the Israelites. With a passion for faith-driven storytelling, Richie is dedicated to creating films and television series that entertain audiences while pointing them toward hope and purpose. Through his work, he seeks to make timeless biblical truths accessible and engaging for a new generation.

Originally from Ohio, Richie now lives in the Nashville area with his wife, Bethany, and their two Pembroke Welsh Corgis, Esther and Melchizedek.

John C. Driver is writer and podcaster who has served his community as a pastor for over 25 years. Having authored, coauthored, or served as the primary collaborative writer for more than 35 books, he has appeared on Good Morning America (GMA3) and many other media outlets. He lives in Nashville with his wife and daughter.
