Captain Kristopher Ensley is the 31st Commanding Officer of the U.S. Coast Guard Barque Eagle, where he leads a team that facilitates at-sea leadership, teamwork, risk management, and seamanship training for future Coast Guard officers onboard ‘America’s Tall Ship.’ During his time in the Coast Guard, he also commanded the cutters Dependable, Paul Clark, and Narwhal while serving for more than ten years at sea. He also previously served for two years as the operations officer and navigator onboard the Eagle. He graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in 2004 and has earned Masters Degrees in Business Administration, Public Administration, and Defense and Strategic Studies.
 
Boatswain Leland Currier serves as the 1st Lieutenant and Sailmaster aboard the U.S. Coast Guard Barque Eagle, where he supervises all deck and sailing evolutions. He directly supports Eagle's training mission by leading the crew and cadets through complex sailing maneuvers, fostering at-sea leadership, teamwork, risk management, and seamanship skills for future Coast Guard officers aboard ‘America’s Tall Ship.’ He has completed three tours of duty aboard Eagle, totaling eight years of experience in traditional sailing vessel rigging and tactics. Throughout his Coast Guard career, he has served ten years afloat on multiple platforms, earning his permanent cuttermans insignia.
