Flo Jackman is a children's author whose work centres on adoption, belonging, and identity, written with warmth, honesty, and deep understanding of children's emotional worlds. She is the creator of The Bridie Collection, a series of children's books designed to help adopted children feel seen and supported, while also equipping families, schools, and professionals to talk openly about difference and belonging.The first book in the series, Bridie's New Family, offers a tender, age-appropriate introduction to adoption, following a young girl as she joins her loving forever family. The second book, Bridie Starts School, explores the universal challenges of starting school, as well as the more nuanced feelings of being adopted and feeling different.Alongside her writing, Flo brings a rare blend of lived and professional experience. She is an adopter, a Family Magistrate, and has been offered a place on the Adoption Panel (Approval & Matching) as an Independent Member, which she will take up as soon as a vacancy arises.
