Ian Robertson is Professor Emeritus at Trinity College Dublin and T Boone Pickens Distinguished Chair at the University of Texas at Dallas. He has written over 600 scientific papers on neuropsychology, including on new ways of improving brain function. He is currently co-leader of one of the most ambitious studies of brain health in the world, the BrainHealth Project at the UT Texas Dallas, where 120,000 people from ages 18 to 90 are being assessed and -importantly for this book - being offered practical interventions to improve their brain health. He is also the author of several popular books on how our brains work, including The Winner Effect (Bloomsbury, 2013) and How Confidence Works (Transworld, 2021).
