DENIS R. CARON is a real property attorney. He is the author of both A Century in Captivity and Connecticut Foreclosures, a treatise now in its 16th edition. Caron also writes and lectures on property law. The first edition of A Century in Captivity received the Connecticut Book Award for biography. JOHN MILLS is Founder and President of the Alex Breanne Corporation, whose mission is to discover and encourage reverence for the lost stories of enslaved persons. JESSE NASTA is Assistant Professor of the Practice in African American Studies at Wesleyan University and Executive Director of the Middlesex County Historical Society.
