The chamber bloomed around Talia in decadent splendour that made her breath catch. It was circular, carved from the tower's living stone, but every harsh surface had been softened by fabric and firelight. Heavy velvet drapes in deep crimson hung from ceiling to floor around the walls, their folds creating alcoves and shadows that suggested spaces within spaces. But it was the bed that dominated-massive and draped in silk sheets the colour of fresh cream, piled with pillows in jewel tones that caught candlelight and reflected it in shimmers of ruby and sapphire and emerald. It sat in the chamber's centre like an altar, and Talia understood immediately what worship would be offered there.
"Welcome, Princess," a familiar voice said, and Talia's attention snapped to the figure emerging from behind one of the velvet drapes.
Lady Morwenna moved with feline grace, her body draped in a gown of black silk so sheer it revealed more than it concealed. Her breasts were clearly visible through the fabric, large and pale. The gown clung to her hips and thighs, making the absence of anything beneath obvious, and her hair fell in its perfect curtain of ink down her back.
"You came," Morwenna said, and there was satisfaction in her voice that suggested she had never doubted. "I knew you would. Your hunger is too great to be denied."
Then she stepped aside, and Talia saw what else the chamber held.
Three men stood in the space behind Morwenna, and they were completely, gloriously naked.
