>Karen Calhoun, MS, MBA, is Director of Central Technical Services at Cornell University Library. She leads Cornell's participation in the CORC project, plays a key role in the organization of the library's networked resources and services,and is a frequent speaker and author on technical services in the digital library. Karen chairs the Program for Cooperative Cataloging (PCC) Standing Committee on Automation. Previously she held positions at OCLC and the University of Oregon. John J. Riemer, MLS, is the GALILEO CORC Representative in the state of Georgia and Assistant Head of Cataloging at the University of Georgia. He has organized training for and helped to coordinate half a dozen metadata projects. For over ten years he served as Head of Serials Cataloging and represented the library on the CONSER Operations Committee. Previously he held positions at the University of California, Los Angeles.
