Their journey leads them to an encounter with the ethereal Aether-Born, inhabitants of the Aetherium who communicate through shared Aetheric sensations. Kael, using his engineering skills, devises a way to predict the Aetherium's volatile shifts, proving that even in a magical realm, logic and quick thinking are essential. The Aether-Born Council, initially skeptical, agrees to a fragile alliance with Lyra and Kael after the sanctuary is attacked by the coordinated Blight Cultists. This alliance is driven by necessity and the resurfacing of an ancient prophecy. Lyra's deepening connection reveals the Architects' true motive: to "perfect" reality by erasing uncontrolled magic, viewing it as chaos, and creating an ordered void where only their will prevails.
