Judy Stoddard, RN, BS ED, CHTP is a certified Healing Touch Practitioner, experienced nurse, and teacher. She is a graduate of Polyclinic Hospital School of Nursing and Temple University. Judy has been practicing Healing Touch since July 2006 following a traditional career in nursing. She taught student nurses at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and classes in Preparation for Childbirth at the former Wilmington General Hospital (now Christiana Care Health System). She later worked for Planned Parenthood of Delaware and as a College Health Nurse at Widener University, Delaware Campus, and at Delaware Technical and Community College, Stanton Campus. During this time, she earned a certification in College Health Nursing by The American Nurses Credentialing Center. Judy's job for the Delaware Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society was Patient Services Manager where she received the Superior Achievement Award. She was a volunteer at Delaware Hospice, Nemours Hospital for Children, Delaware, ReadAloud Delaware, and mentored at Highlands Elementary School. Judy also did clowning for ten years while working part time.Judy has been interested in integrative medical practices her entire nursing career, which led her to study Healing Touch. Judy is certified as a Healing Touch Practitioner by Healing Beyond Borders (formerly Healing Touch Inter-national) and is a member of that organization. She has had six essays published in Healing Beyond Border's "Perspectives in Healing" quarterly e-newsletter. Her contribution on holistic end of life care with a client was published in the Healing Touch Guidebook, 20th Anniversary Edition by Dorothea Hover-Kramer (2009).Judy meditates and walks daily, is an avid reader, loves to travel, journals semi-frequently, and leads two online women's zoom groups. Family gatherings head the list of favorite things.
