Tom Piccirilliwas the author of more than twenty-five novels, including the Bram Stoker Award-winning The Night Classand the International Thriller Award-winners The Midnight Roadand The Coldest Mile.Among his other novels are The Deceased, A Choir of Ill Children, The Last Kind Words,and The Cold Spot,which was a finalist for the Edgar Award.Piccirilli was also a prolific author of short fiction and poetry, and edited numerous well-received anthologies. He passed away in 2015 at the age of fifty.
